AEROSOL URETHANE CLEAR-COAT & CUSTOM AEROSOL PAINT

FOR THOSE HOME TINKERER'S, COLLECTORS AND PART TIME RESTORERS THAT DON'T WANT TO PAY A PAINT SHOP, THERE ARE OPTIONS, MY AUTO PAINT SUPPLY STORE STOCKS A GOOD QUALITY URETHANE CLEAR-COAT IN AN AEROSOL CAN AND INSIDE THE CAN THERE IS A CELL CONTAINING THE HARDENER WITH A BUTTON STICKING OUT THE BOTTOM THAT WHEN PUSHED IN PIERCES THE CELL RELEASING THE CONTENTS INTO THE URETHANE. BEING ABLE TO HAVE A CUSTOM COLOR INJECTED INTO A CAN IS STILL CONVENIENT AS LONG AS THE SHOP IS WILLING TO PUT A GOOD PIGMENT LOAD IN AND THE WHOLE SYSTEM OF AEROSOL COLOR AND CLEAR-COAT WORKS WELL ON SMALL OBJECTS LIKE A BIKE TANK OR SIDE COVERS. I WENT AHEAD AND BOUGHT A GUN AND HAD THE GUY AT THE STORE TEACH ME HOW TO MIX MY OW COLOR AND I WILL EVENTUALLY ADD THE CLEAR TO MY INVENTORY BUT I BET THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH AN OLD BIKE THAT NEEDS REPAINTING THAT DON'T WANT TO INVEST IN A COMPRESSOR, GUN AND PAINT AND DON'T WANT TO PAY SOME ROBBER TO DO A SIMPLE PAINT JOB, THAT MIGHT WELCOME A QUALITY SHAKER CAN PROCESS. SO I DON'T GET JUMPED ON BY ANY PAINTERS I REALIZE THAT MOST ARE PROBABLY HONEST GUYS BUT THERE ARE ALSO A LOT THAT SEE AN ORIGINAL 69 CB750 AND KICK THEIR PRICE UP THINKING THEY HAVE SOME RIGHT TO A PIECE OF THE MARKET VALUE OF A HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE BIKE. I WAS QUOTED A PRICE OF $1800 BY ONE OF THOSE SCUMBAGS WHEN HE DROPPED BY AND SAW ALL THE BODY PARTS OF MY 69 CB750 LAYING OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE.
