I ran across your website last week and enjoyed it very much--I'm very much "into" the horror host phenomena. Recently, I acquired a vintage TV Guide for the week of December 6-12, 1958. On pages 26-27 is an article about midwestern horror hosts. Though the article is a generic one about the then-new phenomena, accompanying the article are contemporary photos of the personalities in and out of character. Two of the hosts depicted are Marilyn the Witch and Gregory Graves. The in-character photos are nothing new to you or those who enjoy your website. However, I do not recall seeing the TV Guide photos of Marilyn and Gregory without makeup on your site and thought you might like scans of both. The scan of Harvey Brunswick (aka Gregory Graves) is 13 K and attached to this e-mail. (The TV Guide caption is Harvey Brunswick -- Gregory Grave on Shock!, KMBC-TV, Kansas City, Mo." The scan of Marilyn the Witch (29 K) will be attached to a second e-mail to you. Interestingly, the TV Guide caption identifies her as >>Dolores<< Denny; it reads "Dolores Denny appears as Marilyn the Witch on The Witching Hour over KCMO-TV, Kansas City, Mo." I hope the scans are useful to you. Sincerely, Gary L. Prange
